DAQ Receives Dupont Stack Test Plan
Dupont's APFO Stack Test Protocol - Received on Feb. 13, 2006
Excerpts from Stack Test Protocol
The purpose of the proposed testing is to quantify emissions of APFO from Dupont Fayetteville Works Plant.
The testing company will be Integrity Air Monitoring, located in Huntersville, NC. The test company contacts are Jim Lewis and Tony Blanton at (704) 398-1119.
Samples will be collected over the course of a batch. Two types of batches are performed and testing will be conducted for each.
It is expected that test results along with other applicable internal data may be used in the future for emissions inventory purposes.
APFO emissions from the facility (AS-A) are vented to a main process stack. Ductwork feeding into the main process stack includes a general area exhaust vent and the scrubber (ACD-A1) exhaust vent.
The sampling location will be a vertical round fiberglass stack with two 4-inch internal diameter sampling ports.
The proposed test method will be Method-5-modified with 6 test runs for each of two batch types. The test run duration will be 5 hours for one batch type and 4 hours for the other type of batch.
The testing will not be conducted in strict accordance with the applicable test methods.
