For permit T27 issued 12/10/04 for Duke Energy Allen Steam Plant:

Duke Energy Corporation is requesting a modification of the permit to install a 2000 kW emergency/blackout protection diesel generator and a 1600 gallon diesel fuel oil storage tank. The generator is to provide backup power for essential activities during emergency blackout periods when normal power is lost. The diesel fuel oil storage tank will be added to the insignificant activities list.

Duke has also requested the following sources be added to the insignificant activities list (e-mail to Ed Martin from Bill Horton dated 8 Nov 2004):

Two 13.0 hp portable gasoline welders;
Three 14.0 hp portable gasoline generators;
Two 85 hp diesel water pumps (used at ash basin to dewater for ash project and expected to be on site through 2005).
